Pros: "Short, sweet and great crew. Pros: "Seat was comfortable. Crew was professional. Cons: "Loading plane was a little chaotic and the comfortable seat was a little overpriced for the legroom. Pros: "The plane was clean". Cons: "More spacing with the whole Covid thing going on".
Cons: "Have at least water offered". Cons: "Really rude check in with bags and flight attendants are rude too. Pros: "Seats were great! No snackage Pros: "Everything was easy". Cons: "Flight was about 30 minutes late for a minor mechanical issue". Cons: "Seemed disorganized getting on". Pros: "The overall boarding process was great although slightly delayed.
The in flight entertainment was great and the plane was clean. The announcements made by the pilot were comforting as we experienced a rough decent. Cons: "The plane was very warm and the flight attendants were not very nice. We had to sit for an extended period of time and when we finally were allowed to get up, the flight attendants were rude when I had to head toward the restroom.
Pros: "The airline did a great job, it was the neighboring passengers that made it horrible. Barely had time to go thru customs n tsa to make it to the gateof our connecting flight. Pros: "The counter attendant was helpful in changing our seats so could sit together. Cons: "The flight attendant when first boarding was extremely rude. We had a bag we brought on three previous legs of our total travel which was considered by all of the other attendants as a personal item.
This particular attendant very rudely informed us it was not, and we needed to check it. Pros: "Nothing. Cons: "I have flown this airline many times and never once have we ever taken off on time. We left 2 and a half hours late and the people that work for them are grumps all the time. Never flying them again. Cons: "difficult connecting to wifi. Pros: "Quick boarding, near empty flight. Pros: "Customer service people were nice. Airplane was cramped, felt really uncomfortable".
Pros: "Short flight". Cons: "Numerous delays. Pros: "Staff was awesome! Cons: "As was getting in line for security, overheard it was at least a one-half hour wait. Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated.
After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes.
I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather.
My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags.
I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them. Pros: "Quick and easy thanks". Pros: "Sittings on the tarmac for 90 minutes no airs no waters. Cons: "The very least employees should offer customer some waters to cool of". Cons: "Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim with a hajib women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to.
Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her.
She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers! Pros: "Staff on the plane was pleasant. Cons: "When I checked in I wasn't given a seat assignment. I had to wait until I got to the gate.
Pros: "Boarding was swift. Gate staff was friendly. Cons: "Phone charging stations at gate were down at every gate in the terminal. We waited nearly 45 minutes on the plane at the gate for a "flight attendant that is going to hitch a ride to make a flight from San Diego to Charlotte. We waited for almost as long as the flight was scheduled to take. Poor form. Cons: "Took my bag for no reason, I flew there with it.
Pros: "The price was fair and the flights were on time. Cons: "Bags cost extra, food cost extra, seats cost extra. My knees were in the back of the seat in front of me the entire flight two exit row seats were empty and there was no way to move that provided comfort.
The overhead bins were full before half of the passengers boarded. The crew was polite, but not kind. Pros: "The pilot was very helpful And his crew extremely nice to me with much patients thank god for that crew". Cons: "I never was looking forward to not having the help I solely deserved when in dallis as I needed help with my wheel Cheer there was no help available to me so I had to do everything completely alone as the pilot and his crew helped me out of the Aircraft entering into Chicago I thank god for that crew I fliy often however this was so unreal what I had to indure when headed back home to Scottsdale' AZ after visiting my husband in Columbus Ohio perhaps I'll find another airline to use hopefully ii will get the help I truly need".
Pros: "Crew was great! Pros: "Convenient time of day. Cons: "First class seats were terrible. No padding. Meal of a messy sandwich was bad. No drink service was offered. Cons: "On time yes. Every seat sold. Overhead baggage full had to check luggage. Dinner time flight no food. No beer. Cons: "The seats were the most terrible seats I have ever experienced in all my years of flying.
I'm a small person and even I couldn't get comfortable. The seats were curved in the wrong way and didn't recline enough for a 3 hour flight. The crew made the boarding and deplaning process worse by not paying attention to what was going on in the plane.
Pros: "Entertainment movies". Cons: "Never will I fly on them Again! No protective measures in regard to Covid! Pros: "Inflight movies". Cons: "Everything! Jam packed flight.
I will Never fly on them Again! Shame on the Airline! Pros: "The was helpful and friendly and was able to take care of problems. Cons: "Notifying me when a flight was being canceled before getting to the airport not where. You are supposed to be boarding the plane. Pros: "Flight smooth. Not too crowded. Cons: "Flight delayed. Pros: "All in things were reasonably easy". Pros: "Great movies".
Cons: "Very cramped seats". Cons: "Their baggage system is a joke. They demanded I remove my smaller carry- on so someone with a huge carry-on could use the overhead space. United just needs to count the bags and demand the overage be checked. Cons: "we had a 9 hour delay". Pros: "Seats were very comfortable in first class. Very happy with that experience for short haul flight.
Enjoyed the service. Flight attendant checked on me multiple times and offered beverages. Pros: "Arrived at San Diego on time. Cons: "Seats are too small". Cons: "A very rude boarding agent insulted a young man from another country who was boarding in front of me.
He misunderstood that they wanted him to check his luggage instead of carry it on. The agent yelled at him and shamed him in front of other passengers. United strikes again!! Seriously folks, you suck! Pros: "Timely departure". They sat in front of us.
From Houston to Baton Rouge - attendant was too slow. No notice. No apology. Why would it take another hour when the plane had already been there an hour and a half". Pros: "Comfortable seats". Cons: "5 hour delay; sat on the plane for that duration with minimal handouts of water or snacks. It was utterly miserable. Cons: "Horrible customer service". Cons: "slightly delayed". Pros: "We were forced to re-book this leg of our trip because of "insufficient" layover time.
The United Airlines staff helping the numerous customers that were forced to re-book were not friendly, did not function with any sense of urgency and were as minimally helpful as possible with the inconvenience.
After exiting customs we had 30 minutes to get to our gate, instead of offering to take us to the front of the line to get through security faster we were simply told we would not get through it in enough time to make our flight. Initially we were not even told we were going to be re-booking our flight, we were only told that we needed to re-check our bags at the counter after exiting customs. The entire interaction was very frustrating. Pros: "No much". Cons: "Suggestion, why don't the airlines charge to use the bathroom, so the money humgry grubs could make more money".
Pros: "Crew was friendly, flight was on time. Pros: "Seats have some good cush to them". Cons: "I specifically bought carry on luggage that meets the standards so that I would not have to go baggage claim as it would weigh heavily on my schedule. As I stood in line and noticed all of the huge "carry on" bags more than 2 I was astounded when the flight attendant said my carry on would have to be loaded with the other luggage.
When I offered my rebuke she scolded me and said the luggage would be there before me To make matter worse the flight "attendants" stopped serving half way and when they started again I got trapped by the bathroom and did not get back to my seat in time to enjoy a beverage Pros: "Boarding was made easy buy letting each group on separetly". Cons: "I would of liked to listen to the documentary that was on the screen but there was no airphones given out". Pros: "Crew was nice and lots of different choices of food.
Cons: "So crowded on the plane you could barely even use the restroom. Cons: "Maybe it is real or maybe it is my imagination, it seems like the leg room has decreased. My son is around 6' and was not very comfortable. I could not reach my shoes to loosen my shoe laces. Pros: "The desk people were nice in Phoenix, AZ". Cons: "Our flight was delayed 6 hours so United rebooked the whole flight, however they made no attempt to inform us before we arrived at the airport.
We found out when we arrived to our gate to board. So because we did not know about the delay until the time of boarding, we missed all other flights out because it was 8pm and no more flights could take us to our final destination. We did receive a hotel voucher but we had to pay for a taxi back to the airport as well as we had to pay extra for our car that had been sitting in the airport garage overnight. Cons: "Flight was late. Flight attendants were okay.
Not that helpful or nice". United doesn't deserve my business ever again. Pros: "I loved the ground crew. Flights were delayed, but they kept us informed an expedited turn around. Also I had to change flights to get home and their phone-support was perfect. Hey, they even had a cookie on the last flight that was quite good - go figure! Pros: "Organized boarding". Cons: "Economy is very cramped".
Cons: "We're all aware of the national "glitch" the delayed flights a couple of hours. While our plane was available for an on-time departure UA , the crew was inbound on one of the delayed flights UA United could have known as early as pm that wasn't going to make it on time to turn around the crew and would hold up as a result. Instead United didn't update passengers of until 20 minutes after it was obvious that it was delayed and 4.
Maybe I'm missing something, would love for someone at United to explain it. Pros: "The flight was dark". Cons: "I had to check my bag because their boarding process requires me to board last. Pros: "The actual flight itself was fine. Cons: "The flight was delayed. I was told it was due to "weather issues", and that i'd more than likely miss my flight, and that there was nothing they could do about it. I ask the guy to print me some sort of itinerary to show my work, and it shows "mechanicall issues", not weather.
Confirmed this with their website. I was told I'd probably be arriving in Seattle around AM. By pure chance, my flight from San Fran to Seattle was ALSO delayed due to a late incoming flight , so I was able to board my original connecting flight.
However, this still put me in a bad situation. I use public transportation, which wont be running by the time I arrive. Thanks, United. I only ever get delays when I fly United. Cons: "Same as above haven't even made it home yet. I recommend kayak not work with united unless u want to lose business. Pros: "My morning started by finding out my flight was delayed an hour and I was in an immediate panic that I would not make my connection.
An hour turned to 1. The flight attendants were put in a horrible position - a flight full of delayed pasangers and they had nothing to do with it. The attendants and pilot were SO accomodating and empathetic and assured me they were in a good position to make up time. Between your staff and the free directTV and the fact that I made my flight with 5 minutes to spare Cons: "Could have lived without the 1.
Pros: "Crowded flight efficient crew and staff pleasant and cooperative passengers. Cons: "The days of an empty seat are gone the new normal is crowded flights.
Had I continued to San Diego I would have landed almost 6 hours later than my previous arrival time all because of delays at the gate in Harriaburg. An original 30 minute delay from weather is understandable, and by the time the aircraft arrives you'd think they'd be ready to deplane and get it rolling quickly.
Nope, not all. I think it was amateur day in Harriaburg because it was like no one knew what to do and nobody could make their minds up. Cons: "See above. This is why I drive everywhere. Cons: "I spent 8 hours in the Denver airport without any compensation from the airline. At least buy me lunch. Pros: "I liked that I finally arrived at my destination and that the crew did their best to accommodate the passengers.
Cons: "-The flight was delayed with only vague information given out at the gate. We were told three different times we would be boarding, but only to be told we were experiencing a delay again.
The front WC was out of service and created a long line for the only other WC on the plane, which you sometimes you would stand in when turbulence would hit. This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable commercial flights I have taken since I had to call out of work due to the stress the flight put on some of my joint injuries.
Cons: "I have alloted enough time for my next flight. Your airline crew in PhX did not extend any help in my problem even i asked them very polity in two instances. For me not to miss my flight i left my baggaes in the conveyor and I have to disturbed my friends in sfo to get my bags. I want to be conunmpensated with your poor service. Im expecting your respond".
Cons: "The flight attendant who read aloud the instructions read them terribly". Pros: "The friendly and comfortable atmosphere! There was no information provided to me to go to United, which was in Terminal 2. After making a phone call to Brussles Airlines, I ended up getting to the check in gate ten minutes after boarding started.
It was a lovely rest of the trip after that though! But please include partner information im the email next time! Pros: "The girls at boarding area watched Tucker while I had to go back to the security area to get bracelets that I had forgotten they treated him like a king". Cons: "Service. Flight attendant negative attitude and disrespect for customers. Pros: "Service was excellent".
Cons: "Seats are contrived - knees bumping up against seat back. Maybe ok for short flights but 5 hours is too long". Cons: "Uncomfortable seats, too long of a layover". Too many announcements. Pros: "Seats were fine as they were basic accommodations. Having a 3 and 5 year old in tow is already a bit tough but there were no gate agents there to update us, and no one to offer exactly how long the flight would be delayed. All they could offer was they had to do some specialty cleaning since the plane arrived from Mexico.
We were delayed 90 mins for a 45 mins flight. Then the already beleaguered passengers were restless and started arguing at the back of the plane about deplaning etiquette which I guess should go out the window when flying a budget airline? All in all a pretty poor experience". Pros: "Quick efficient". Cons: "The flight was delayed for 1.
I missed my connecting flight and no steps were made to correct the issue. Pros: "All the employees were friendly and helpful. Pros: "Crew was nice". So they have to adjust the gangway and it took 20mins to deplane and we missed our bus home. Why do they fly an model that does this? I have never heard of this before. Pros: "I liked that I made my Connection flight.
I do not like being crammed in like sardines again". Pros: "The crew was fine. The seats were small and did not recline". Cons: "They could have handed out water and a snack in a bag. Instead they charge 2. Pros: "In flight crew was great". Cons: "Some of the Boarding staff at terminal were not wearing masks correctly over the nose".
Pros: "The price was excellent. The crew was fairly friendly. And it was on time". Cons: "More comfortable seats, reclining seats, visual entertainment no matter how short the flight is a nice addition.
Pros: "Super friendly crew". Pros: "The price". Pros: "The crew on this flight was excellent. I generally have a good experience with them, but this crew was exceptional.
Cons: "The table tray was about the size of a postage stamp, but I can live with it to get from point A to point B". Pros: "Crew was really nice, temperature check was reassuring. Cons: "I was offered a full refund to cancel both flights Phoenix to Denver, Denver to Omaha , or I could reschedule to fly to Omaha three days later. I ended up using the first flight to get to Denver, and rented a car to drive the rest of the way to Omaha.
I was not offered any type of partial refund, even though I only got half of my flight. Pros: "Boarding was good, crew was friendly. First flight went back to Phoenix due to issue with plane. I was offered a refund or to rebook 2 days later. I wanted to at least get to Denver so I could rent a car to drive the rest of the way since my connecting flight was gone.
Pros: "Very comfy. Got in early. Cons: "Need The Rona to be done already! No in-flight service". Pros: "The Flight crew did a good job and the price for the flight was good". Cons: "The flight to phoenix was 2 hours late due to issues getting the plane to Cincinnati it happens no big deal.
However the flight coming back from Phoenix to Cincinnati took off on time and landed early but when we landed it took over an hour to get our bags initially there was a storm that held them up but after the storm other flights were getting there bags but not frontier and when we finally for a representative she was very rude and provided no answers as to what the problem was she just said the ramp is closed and stormed off.
I will be contacting the cooperate office regarding this. Pros: "Boarding was good". Cons: "How do you board a multi-million dollar aircraft, yet still find yourself in an old western tv show. Easy, fly Frontier Airlines. The seats were like riding on an old horse buggy. Hard and unforgiving. No complimentary anything. Even the old settlers from the past could rustle up something simple to eat and drink, but not on Frontier. They need to get up to speed in this department, other airlines are starting to give drinks and snacks again for the long wagon ride in front of them.
Every single person I spoke with was insulting to me, repeated information they already gave me and showed no sympathy whatsoever.
They cost me money, they cost me a day of work and no one even seemed to care but every single agent did find something different about me to blame.
What an embarrassment. Cons: "I couldn't check in online because of a website error. When I did they said I had to use the website. I arrived in plenty of time to board there was a 4 minute security line but they would not check me in and told me to call a number and they made no offer to help me and told me I should have chexked in online. I called the number and they gave me.
I was on hold till I missed the flight. The agent told me the people at the counter could help me. I aksed for a supervisor. After arguing for an hour i finally got the supervisor to refund my money but I still had to buy another ticket on another airline to get there.
I will never fly frontier again ever. The nickel and dime you for everything. It was a quick trip and thought a back pack would be okay to carry on They charge more at the gate. Flight was also late. Never again. Pros: "Baggage made it with flt. On-line check-in was easy. Cons: "High baggage fees for both checked and carry-on. Virtual requirement to pay upgrade fee for seating - only a handful of seats in entire plane were available without upgrade fee.
Even highest level upgrade seats were cramped - had more leg room on economy seats on Alaska flt on in-bound flt. Plane was 4 hours late in departing. While pilots seemed friendly, of two stewards, one was downright unpleasant and unhelpful, the other seemed pleasant but was more interested in reading his fashion magazine than providing service to passengers.
Will not be flying Frontier again. Pros: "Good piloting, nice landings despite turbulence, low clouds and wind. Cons: "I travel a lot and understand that being a flight attendant isn't always a fun job, so I do my best to minimize my burden on them, but their attitudes made me feel like they despise their passengers and think we're all stupid.
A couple crew members were nice, but the rude ones I interacted with ruined the experience. Also, not the employees fault, but they pitch you their crappy credit card for 10 mins then stuff brochures for it in your face. I'm already stuck on a plane in a cramped space next to someone who smells bad, I don't need advertisements that I literally cannot escape added on top of that. Their app is okay, but their website is awful.
They nickel and dime left and right. Finally their seats are too short! I'm 6'2" and if I sit up straight and lean back, my head is over the top of the seat. Pros: "The crew had a smile and were friendly. Cons: "Look, it's a budget carrier. I get that. But I add a bag to my flight and my ticket is now what it would have cost to fly Southwest.
My knees touched the seat in front of me the whole flight. And the seats don't recline. To make everything just perfect, they lost my luggage on the flight home, and the lady who worked with Frontier who took all 15? I've never had a lost bag while flying with others, so that's what I will do from now on. Cons: "Crew not that friendly. When boarding first flight attendant seemed annoyed that I asked her about my seat.
I would rather pay additional for the tickets on other airlines because the process to check in luggage, get to the gate, and have the Benicia of not being charged for every little thing is WORTH IT. You end up paying more to fly frontier by the time you are done paying for the extras. I prefer the one stop shop. Convenient and no drama. Pros: "Crew was friendly. Was pleasantly surprised I didn't have to pay for the air we breathed. Cons: "Must pay for everything: checked bags, carry-on spoiler alert - carry-on is more expensive than checked bags , beverage service water is the only complementary option , seat selection I'm not clear what happens if you don't pay to choose a seat - do they pick one for you?
Mysteriously, the rates to pick seats were higher for outbound flights than they were for the return flight. My impression was that I would have had to pay for a boarding pass if I didn't print one ahead of time. I tried to get smart on my return, so I downloaded the Frontier app to my phone only to get a dagger-stare from TSA going through security because I had to show them my boarding pass on my phone instead of having a paper pass they could scribble on.
Pros: "I really did not feel any more crowded or uncomfortable than any other airplane Ive been on. I sort of like that the tray tables are the size of a large cell phone- less bulky than regular tray tables. Cons: "The crew wasn't bad, just seemed unhappy to be there. There was some confusion with which gate we should be at, changed us three times before settling on the original gate.
Boarding was no problem but then we waited without taking off for over 45 minutes. The pilot came over the intercom and informed us that he had no idea why we were delayed to take off, but that he would "find shortcuts" to get us there on time.
The biggest gripe that we have is once we landed and went to baggage, several of us waited for golf clubs for close to an hour before a worker realized "they forgot" to turn on the button to allow oversized items to come out. Then she said "sorry I was busy with ticketing and Frontier doesn't have a baggage attendant".
I just dont think the extra savings was quite worth the frustration. Pros: "I arrived to my destinations on time Cons: "The whole negative experience started with having to pay for my carry on. Water was not given during the three hour flight - you pay for all refreshments!
The planes feel like a budget experience with cheap fold down trays and arm rests that slam down making lots of noise, and there is very little foom under the seat to put a small bag. My same small back pack that fits under other airlines seats wasn't even close to going under forcing me to straddle for the the entire flight.
I will NOT use Frontier again. The airline feels like Alligeant that costs much less. I'll stick with Southwest! The trip ended up costing us twice the ticket price. When we landed in Phoenix it took 45 minutes to get our luggage because they were short on workers, so the same people took our luggage off the plane, then loaded the next flight's luggage on the plane while letting ours sit in the rain, before bringing us the off-loaded now wet luggage.
Flight attendants barely do anything! Mostly they stand - or sit - around in the back talking and laughing amongst themselves. Never again! Cons: "I paid for the upgrades first row seat.
There was no padding, I could feel the metal seat on my back and bottom. Very uncomfortable! Seats do not recline. No entertainment. I didn't buy any food, but they do give free water. I used to like Frontier, but would not use them again: Maybe for a one hour flight, but it's not so cheap and uncomfortable even in the nice seats!
Pros: "I didn't like anything except for getting to my destination in one piece. Cons: "I will never fly Frontier again. The stewardess on the first leg of the trip was very rude to the people seated in front of me.
They were unorganized and they nickel and dime you to death. They emailed me five thousand emails about checking in after I checked in. They want to charge you three dollars for a soda. It is not customer service. Having a survey for customer happiness is stupid when they aren't working to make the customer happy. It has become evident that airlines do not care about their customers anymore. I mean if you are going to make us pay for everything then at least be polite.
And on the return flight we had to sit for a half hour and wait while they moved another plane that was occupying out gate. Pros: "Both flights felt like there wasn't a sense of urgency. Although my flights went smoothly personally, others fell victim to the extra fees for not checking in a bag ahead of time. The customer service when checking into the flight to Detroit was appalling, however.
The reps made us check in at a certain time and then disappeared when that time came, leaving a brand new employee to himself and I'm assuming a manager with his arms crossed.
Not engaging his line, letting them know he'd be right with them. Customers frustrated began cutting the line and it's understandable, getting charged up to three times as one put it for the same bag. All that aside, I liked that I could pick my seat and naturally chose the front of the plane. The crew on way home was amazing!
Very friendly and kind hearted. Cons: "Three days before christmas on , Frontier cancelled our flight last minute from Phoenix to Cincinnati. I was traveling with two small children. I have submitted everything requested and now am receiving emails that there is no guarantee I will be reimbursed.
Frontier better do what is right and reputable. Customers don't deserve to be treated this way. Cons: "My husband is a active duty military personnel, his orders had changed last minute, we sent military orders and leave sheet, to Frontier Airline HQ. It all started with the papers sent wasn't enough information, the military orders were sent, and again, these were denied because it wasnt a pdf document. I feel like we were fooled by this company, so we couldn't change the flight and waste our money and time on them.
Pros: "Zero". Cons: "The seats didn't recline, there was no wifi and when I asked for a sip of water, to take a pill, I was informed I would have to buy water if I wanted anymore than a sip. About half way through my trip 9 pm- am a flight attendant snapped on my over head light and accused me of using my ecig and demanded I give it to him. As I handed it to him I explained I was not using it and deployed the button to show him it wasn't even on.
He then "confiscated" it. About two minutes later he returned it to me and told me not to use it again or I could be jailed. After I got off my flight I found a Frontier Airline supervisor and told her what happened. Kim took the tag off my bag for flight info and told me a report would be filed and I would here from the airline in hours. Three days passed and I finally called them just to find out that there was never a report submitted for me.
Poor customer service! Pros: "Attendants were helpful and friendly. Cons: "I did not like the surprise that I had to pay ANY fee, much less such a high fee, for a carry on and luggage.
Therefore, what I thought was an incentive to fly Frontier because I felt as though I was getting a great deal, became Just another money-grabbing corporation who I felt was insincere upfront about the added charges. This made My flight even more than I would have paid total for a larger and more well-known carrier.
Therefore, no more incentive To use Frontier In addition, the tray table was so small it was virtually useless. At least the service Was good Cokes should not really be at a cost, since the fare was higher than a larger carrier. Cons: "The 4pm flight was delayed about an hour, so I went and grabbed a beer to wait it out.
I got back to the gate right as they were announcing final boarding. Even though I was one of the last passengers to board, I wasn't worried because I had reserved my seat way ahead of time always go for the window , and had made it before the doors closed. As soon as I got on, the flight attendants rudely told me the plane was full as if I wasn't supposed to be getting on. I showed them my ticket, and they changed their tone a little, then went to check my seat.
Apparently it was somehow double booked, and there was no other seat available or so they told me. They then told me "we can maybe get you on the pm flight, go to customer service" original flight was 4pm.
Waited in the customer service line for about an hour, finally got to the front and was able to get a seat on the pm flight. Customer service rep snidely told me "don't be late this time" as if my waiting until final boarding justified the fact that they had given my seat away. That flight was then delayed until 11pm. I didn't land back home until around 2am, and had work the next day at 8am.
I was never compensated whatsoever for the whole ordeal, nor was I even treated politely - the entire time, they tried to make me feel as if I was in the wrong. I used to love Frontier, I'm from Denver and have used them almost every time I've gone back to visit there. The new management brought along with it bush league baggage policies, nickel and diming around every corner, and some of the worst customer service I could imagine.
Such a shame. Pros: "the only thing I liked was the flight attendants, other than that my flight experience was awful. Cons: "I hated that I arrived 2 hours before our flight and then got notified that our flight was going to be delayed not once but 3 difference times.
Cons: "The highway to the airport in Phoenix was shut down due to a murder on the highway. I took an alternate route. Then the construction at the airport and the signage was terrible.
I stood in line curbside to check my bag at what I thought was frontier but it was delta. By the time I got to the frontier desk, they closed the flight. They said they could get me on the flight but not my bag. My bag had my sales materials in it. It had to go with me. I ended up on a United Flight. Cancelled Frontier and they charged me And I had trip protection but it does not cover incidents like this! It was my first experience with Frontier.
I did not know they were fee heavy. I will not fly them again. Pros: "The actual flight itself was smooth and as expected. Cons: "Everything else but the actual on air time itself was awful. At the gate the boarding process was as expected, except I think the gate agent could have done a bit better crowd control, it was really cumbersome to get across the multitudes of people with unassigned seats or later zones that were clogging up the entrance just standing there.
The flight was smooth. My luggage arrived damaged. I filed a report at the Frontier desk but their response was to ask me to leave my broken luggage there, take my items in clear trash bag and wait for a voucher. How am I supposed to take my items to a hotel for business meetings in a trash bag? That's not an acceptable solution to a problem I did not create, baggage handlers did it. When I got to the hotel I realized that the items I had on the front pocket of my luggage were tampered with and one item was missing.
I was told I could go spend the money to replace my luggage and bring them back the receipt, and then leave them the broken luggage cause and I quote "you can't have it all". What does that even mean? I can't have MY luggage? That I brought in perfect condition and the baggage handler broke? Come on. They did not explain if they would offer a refund immediately upon receiving my receipt, it was all very rushed and vague and I was going to miss my transport so I had to leave.
They did not give me a claim number or a number to call back at. I wasn't even being rude or loud or annoyed like some customers get when these things arise.
On the day of my departure from PHX I arrived at the airport on time, 2 hours and 15 minutes earlier from my departure.
I stood in line at Frontier for an entire hour to check in my luggage even though I had checked in online and already paid my fee. I asked if there was a place for people who already were checked in and a rude airport staff member told me to just "get back in line". After waiting in line for that long suddenly the desk agent yells to all the passangers from a flight to Denver to move up to the front of the line, so about or more people move ahead of me despite the vast majority of them having arrived late.
I understand their flight was leaving earlier but what about our flight? How is it reasonable or fair to reward people for being late and make people who have been dutifully and calmly waiting in line FOR AN HOUR standing with heavy bags wait even longer? The whole thing was just terrible! Pros: "The only person who seemed to like his job was the gentleman checking in our bag which unfortunately costs 40 dollars instead of the expected Difference being we didnt check in online Cons: " Asked one of the flight attendants for water so my significant other could take her prescription pills and she nodded her head in a way that it was too much trouble for her to do.
Oh, and we never seen that water. Granted, this is probably a parenting issue, its staff responsibility to recognize issues and at least try to resolve them.
Also, as every other airline I have flown with included a free carry on bag during travel, fronteir did not - they choose to charge their customers more for a carry on than the 50 pound checked in bag. Better to go with AA or Delta or United, etc. Pay the extra dollar because in the end your actaullt saving in comparison to Frontier.
Cons: "I felt duped and deceived by the slimy nature of your airline not being upfront with its prices. And after all of that, being tricked into paying more than HALF of my ticket price in stupid hidden fees, your plane was cramped and austere, lacking the padded chairs, ample legroom, normal-sized tray tables, and conplimentary beverages available on countless other airlines.
I was disappointed in your airline as a whole and will never be flying with Fronteir again. Cons: "The flight price looked great and like I was saving money, I was very wrong. By the time that I was charged to select my seat, pay for my one bag, and pay for a soda on the flight, I could have flown a different airline and saved money. The flight was delayed both ways. The way home was even worse. It was delayed 4 hours because of three different issues and we had to change plans.
The crew was extremely rude to people who were inquiring about the delays. I will never, ever fly this airline again Pros: "Nothing". Cons: "You pay for what you get, so if you pay cheap you get cheap. This airline has all of these little nickel and dime charges for everything. And the seats are horribly uncomfortable, hard as rock and don't recline.
Like some cheap school bus seats! Babies and kids screaming and crying! As much as it cost for all of the BS nickel and dime charges, you might as well pay the price to fly a better my comfortable airlines. The distance between Phoenix and San Diego is about mi.
