Yes No. Indeed Featured review The most useful review selected by Indeed. Office politics are heavy at this firm. Was this review helpful? Report Share. There is no raise or bonus. New Helpdesk management has poor management. Underpaid for doing high end work and no employee appreciation. The environment is stressful. Everyone is unhappy with new IT management. Great job out of college and opportunity to learn, but there are no growth opportunities. There was high turnover in the department.
The people there were great. Wilson Elser seemed like a great firm at the beginning of my employment. Over time, it became less about doing right by clients and more about the number of hours that could be billed to a case.
The Dallas office is not as diverse as it could be. Mistreatment and disrespect to employees is a huge problem. This type of behavior is ignored. Pros Few. Cons Many. Depended on who you worked with and where. Laid off 6 years ago, can still look back on all of the good. Large litigation defense firms are very stressful no matter what firm you work with.
Everyone has a different experience. I had a wonderful team that supported me as much as they could, relied on me and told me how happy they were working with me - which made the job better.
My experience was mostly positive as I got out of the job what I put in to it. This office was serious, busy, but a fun group my opinion of course. As with most companies, this is a business with its top priority being profits. Pros Friendly. High learning potential. Cons Management, partner hierarchy. Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer.
Rate your employer. Decent paying first job out of college in a competitive market if you are desperate, but thats it.
You have to punch a clock when you arrive, leave, and eat lunch, and if you work pretty much any overtime at all they reprimand you. Pros They pay, and turnover is extremely high so if you need a job out of school they are usually hiring.
Cons The work is awful and the office environment is incredibly depressing. Colleagues are Great! Office Administrator is horrible! No difference between sick or vacation paid. Need time off, you must use PTO. Not allowed to make up time. Must punch time clock at start of day, lunch break, at return from lunch break, and at end of day. Pay not commensurate with billing expectations. Never personally met CEO, so although I answered approve, can't say for sure. Pros Paid parking, paid holidays.
