Nice company to learn and growth in the early stages Buyer Former Employee - Montreal - May 26, I really like my job as I am learning a lot and I have supportive colleagues and supervisors.
Since the pandemic, we have been working remotely with goals based on results instead of working hours. Pros Flexibility, treat as a humans first of all. Cons Not direct with the company. Pros lots of hours. Cons lots of hours, poor management, no resources no stability. Company car and all expenses paid while traveling managing your schedule and expense accounts. While working at bombardier I got to travel and see a lot of the country. Pros Managing your own schedule.
Cons Travel on short notice. Good place to work. Great benefits. No complaints. Management has no idea or knowledge about their work. Im surprise this place hasn't gone bankruptcy. These people has no idea of what they're doing. The amount of employees turnover is ridiculous.
Do they know paying training to 20 people one week to get rid of them the next has an impact to the company? Now, this happens weekly not because workers are not able to do their work, just because they don't like you.
Doesn't make any sense the amount of turnover, this matter strikes back as lack of knowledge on the floor. A lot of new guys as crew chief's and without any experience. Also there's a lot of waste of materials and supplies because reworks and lack of supervision. Human Resources? What are they doing? They're not for you.
She'll tell you to do exactly what you don't need to do because you'll then get screw. So sad, this people have a great company, lots of good and knowledgeable people who are willing to push forward and far beyond but LACK of management is just holding back the path and growth of this place. I love to work here, and most of the people are just great, good people. My advice to management is to learn their work, to do what they need to do and that is not firing people because they're bored Learn deficiencies of the place and mitigate them!
If the technician is not doing a good time on cards. Whats going on here? I spent 4 hours on-line - more Pros Good overtime. Cons 12hrs shift. As of right now crew chiefs are new so they're not really related with tasks, Too much time wasted. Bad Equipment, bad resources, Unknowledgeable Management. Nice place to work has its slow time now because of Covid but ok place to work. In hard Times Company will take care of you. Supervisors and Project Managers are actually very good.
Pros just ok. Cons same thing day in day out. The leadership is confused on how to build the product, management management management management leadership not good run from this place as fast as you cN.
Pros Nothing. Claimed Profile. Want to know more about working here? Ask a question about working or interviewing at Bombardier.
Our community is ready to answer. Ask a Question. Overall rating 3. Women's ratings 1. Powered by. Compare Bombardier with. Textron Aviation 4. AAA Canada 2. Cons Toxic work environment, bad management. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. Plenty to do and learn. My experience was very rewarding. Tooling is usually top quality to do the job and work conditions are above average.
Management on the other hand is very transient. Management personnel, directives and direction often changes yearly. Some stability and cohesiveness is needed in that area. Pros Flexible schedules. Pros Pay. Cons Everything else sucks. Pros No tengo. Cons El ambiente es muy rigido. Bombardier offers not only a great local community but a global one as well.
My manager consistently goes above and beyond to make sure I have the tools and knowledge I need to continue to succeed daily. I am proud to work for this company!
Pros Global opportunities and local opportunities. The pay and benefits are good enough. Great, in fact. And if that's all you need out of a job, then the Plattsburgh NY branch anyway is right for you.
If you want trustworthy co-workers who won't undermine you or throw you under the bus or train as it were They're there, but few and far between.
If you want a good manager and consistent direction, same deal. It's rare there and such a thing rarely stays long before quitting or getting fired. In fact, the same can even be said of the various GM's that the company goes through quicker than toilet paper at a chili eating contest. Scheduling isn't much better. One week you might be on a 3rd shift, the next on 1st. God help you if you get onto 3rd or 2nd shift.
You have to answer to two managers, neither of which can ever agree on what needs to be done, and both of which try to assert authority over the other by way of the assemblers. Still, there are a few good people there, and as I said, the money and benefits are good. It's just the overall work environment that's more toxic than a DOW Chemicals spill. Pros Good pay, good benefits. Jobs at Bombardier. Aircraft Maintenance Technician Entry-Level. Material Handler. Industrial Engineer Internship.
Interior Craftsperson - Installer. There was always the opportunity to move up within the company. Pay is decent, but they constantly lay people off, and work ethic means nothing to them.
It all depends on who you know. Work contracts come in and it's a big rush to get it done so that they can lay you off. I've seen many people come and go, just within 2 years. Pros Pay is good for the area. Cons Incompetent Management, job stability, and inefficient work culture. Terrible place to work zero job security. Management is lost, No consistency things change every wing set..
From supervisor to upper management is lost. I would never. Not a good company to work for. I would just recommend staying far away from this company! If your a contractor? Pros Nun. Cons Nun.
