We are cautiously resuming visits to some Nazareth Houses and facilities where the infection risk is low and visits can be conducted safely. Before travelling, please contact the house to check whether it is open, make an appointment to visit and follow the visiting requirements. Houses in some locations remain closed to visitors. We will keep the position under review and may need to close a home to visitors at short notice to protect those in our care.
For further information please contact the relevant Nazareth House or service. The Board of General Superintendents and additional Church of the Nazarene leadership continues to closely monitor the spread of COVID and its impact on the church and people around the world.
The General Board and Board of General Superintendents have newly commissioned 24 Nazarene missionaries, and 16 retiring missionaries have been recognized for a combined years of service. Click Here For Resources. Top Title. Bottom Title.
Christian discipleship is a way of life. It is the process of learning how God would have us live in the world. As we learn to live in obedience to the Word of God, in submission to the disciplines of the faith, and in accountability to one another, we begin to understand the true joy of the disciplined life and the Christian meaning of freedom.
Discipleship is not merely human effort, submitting to rules and regulations. I am a friend or relative of resident 5 5 1. Jim Everything so far has been very good at the Nazareth House. They are happy, and we are happy.
This one is really nice. Both my mom and dad live there. They shared a one-bedroom place. It has a patio, and it is easy to get around to things.
Everything is good. I am a friend or relative of a resident 5 5 1. Caring Surprisingly it was more than we thought it would be.
When we walked into Nazareth house, we found it to be nice, bright, and cheery, and it has a beautiful view. It is very pleasant with wide halls, open spaces, and quiet. There was nice music playing in the hall. My wife shares a room with another lady. They really have nice activities. Even though she couldn't get around very well, she enjoyed watching these activities.
They have mass every morning, and she likes it because it rests her mind. Before, she was in a convalescent home. The first thing she said then was to be taken home. It was very consistent. However, she has never asked to be taken home from this place. She seems to be comfortable. As far as caring is concerned, they care for her very well.
The food is better than what we have seen in any other nursing home. She is always picky about eating but she eats here. I had no real problems with inattention or things like that. It's divided into assisted living which is two wings, and the third wing is called the Care Center. The sanitation is clean. The only problem with the facility is that they are not a skilled nursing facility.
They do apply the medication and follow exactly what the doctor's say on the prescription and so forth, but they don't make medical decisions. In other words, we would like a little more medical help only found in a skilled nursing facility.
Caring We choose Nazareth House for my mom mostly because we feel comfortable with the staff. They seem to be caring.
We talked to a number of people who know them or have friends or relatives there, and we got nice feedback. Mom is in the care unit, which is the highest care that they provide.
